Why do men choose not to wear their wedding rings?
… for me….he just dont want to be seen that he’s already married and so that he can still hit on girls. That is what i think. i mean…us women will wear our wedding ring but for him not to wear one….that just tells me something…he’s still interested on seeing someone elses….. my husband told me that he doesnt want to wear his wedding ring its because it’s suffocating him….wtf is that excuse…but he wants me to wear one….so now, i don’t wear mine.

It’s just jewelry. Some people really don’t like to wear jewelry. I’ve also noticed that the longer and more comfortable a couple is with each other, they may not wear their rings all the time. It really just comes down to the couple. Rings are just symbols.

I rarely see women not wearing their rings, but often men. The men I have spoken with often state it’s for safety reasons as they work around heavy equipment and there is a potential for the ring to catch in the equipment.

I don’t wear my wedding ring except for special occasions. I just don’t care for finger jewelry. My wife hardly ever takes her rings off.

I wear my rings everytime I walk out the door. I love my rings. However, because of the machinery my husband works around, he wears his ring on the weekends or if we go out in the middle of the week he wears it. It’s OK, I know he is married to me and if he ever cheated he would be living on a van down by the river if you know what I mean.

It’s a personal choice, sometimes they don’t because of their job, and some because they don’t want people to know they are married. If you ask them each will give you a different answer, or tell you it’s none of your business.

Metal allergies
Hyper sensitivity of the skin
Workplace safety
Workplace circumstances (for instance working with harsh chemicals
Dislike of rings

It depends on the individual why they choose not to wear their wedding rings. I’m sure there are a lot of good reasons. Some men don’t wear theirs because of the type of work they do, it would be a safety hazard. Some women have jobs where they have the same concerns, or maybe they’re afraid it will get damaged or lost. Others may be unhappy in their marriages and it doesn’t symbolize what it should to them.

I don’t know I have worn mine since our wedding day. The only acceptable excuse that i’ve ever heard was job related. Such as when your working in construction or with machinery that the wedding rind could get hooked on.

My husband stopped wearing his ring when he started cheating on me. I stopped wearing my rings the day we signed our divorce papers.

Most couples do wear their rings all the time some may not because of their job, and other reasons it would be unsafe for them to wear it.
Remember though it is just materialistic yes it is to signify you are married but honest decent people will acknowledge they are married if confronted by someone of the opposite sex.
Love is in the heart not on your finger.
Married over 8yrs I wear my ring all the time and so does my wife but thats us. Period of time I did not have one but still mentally had a ring on because I love my wife.

Sometimes, I just don’t feel like wearing jewelry.
My husband only wears his when he’s not at work. Women are always asking him out, though. He’s a firefighter…they love that!! Silly women!!

Most of the men i have seen that are married not wearing their rings are from downstate at the bar looking to cheat on their wives…i love busting them!!

I don’t know any women who don’t wear thier wedding rings. And of the men that don’t, it’s most likely due to their line of work. Some people can’t wear jewellery because it’s a safety issue in thier jobs.

I always wear my wedding ring. My husband can’t wear his because of his job but if we are going out or something he will put it on. He doesn’t wear any jewlery, not even a watch so I don’t expect him to wear it. It’s just a ring, I know that we are married.

women choose not to wear wedding ring…can be because of housework – dirt, oil. they need to wash hands often especially they got baby in.
men choose not to wear wedding ring.. maybe they can… attract more girl.

These days, a wedding ring does not matter when you go out. Saturday night, my wedding ring was shining on my finger and I still had men asking me to dance and coming on to me. Back in the old days, I think it meant more. I think that men respected the wedding ring on a woman and did not hit on her. It’s not like that anymore so whether you are wearing a ring or not, you might still get hit on.
Finally, how my husband treats and loves me means more to me than him wearing a ring all of the time.

Well, I use to not wear my wedding ring to work because I got it caught once on a piece of metal and nearly tore my figure off but I wore it all other times. Now I don’t wear my wedding ring because my marriage is over just waiting to file for separation

The only time my husband didn’t wear his was at work. He wasn’t allowed to wear jewelry due to safety concerns (he was a machinist).

Your question should read why do SOME women choose not to wear thier wedding ring…
and the answer is they arent happy with thier marriage and are hoping someone will see them, notice they dont have a ring on thier finger and sweep them off thier feet so they can leave thier current life behind.
Or because thier husband never bought them one, or because they have gained weight and it doesnt fit (or vice versa) or because they lost it.
theres all my ideas.
