    all the recruiters at my station are married and only 1 of them wears his ring all the time. i understand if they are doing something dangerous or pt and they don’t want the ring to get in the way of things, but my recruiters don’t even wear theirs when they’re in the officer doing nothing. in fact, last week my recruiter took all of his poolees to lunch and he didn’t have his ring on, so i don’t really know. maybe they just don’t like to wear them.

    I have no idea why the recruiters don’t wear there rings, all the recruiters I know wear their wedding ring. As for most of the others, its a safety issue, their rings can get caught and they could loose a finger.
    I know my husband always wore his ring on his dog tags while he was in Iraq, he ended up losing it during an accident, but anyway he almost never wore it on his hand while he was over there.
    My brother in law was a mechanic while he was in the Marines and he never wore his at work either.
    Hope I helped :)

    my husbands a sailor not a marine, b ut i think itsprobably the same type of thing… when he was on a ship, he didnt wear one, cause it could get caught, {and he wanted to keep his finger} when he went back to a shore command tho, he started wearing one, and has worn it ever since. a lof of it tho, comes down to what the man is comfortable with.. i know a lot of men that dont wear a wedding band {including my father- mum and dad have been married for 35 years}

    Hmm,
    When I was a Marine Recruiter my ring was on all the time, except for PT and working on the car. The rest of my fellow recruiters who where married did the same……………Except for one, but he had “commitment issues”. Other than that, I can’t comment.

    Most Marines aren’t married and the ones that are do wear their bands. I’ve seen it all too many times. In boot camp, the drill instructors wear their wedding bands I know this for a fact.

    You’re allowed to wear them, many people choose not to wear them at work so they dont get scratched up and such. I don’t wear mine during PT or field training.

    the ring will kill you in combat.you do not need anything on your finger that could catch anything.
