Apply concentrated lemon juice to your necklace and bracelet. You dont have to wash or dip the entire thing in lemon juice, just a small part is okay. Leave it until the next day. If you see any discoloration, then it is not gold. The acid in the lemon reacts to the metal. If it’s real gold, nothing will happen to it. You may also use lime.
Sometimes, you wouldn’t see the difference if it is gold plated. It will help if you make a small scratch on the inner part of the bracelet where nobody can see it. Then do the lemon test.

Is it possible that the jewelry is 14K gold plated?
When jewelry is gold plated, that means there is a base metal underneth the plating. Jewelry pieces are usually marked as such.
Base metals used are usually nickel, sterling, or some other non-magnetic metal.

Gold is malleable. Have you ever seen someone in an old movie bite a coin?

I thought if it’s imprinted ’14K’, it’s real gold. It could be that you are becoiming allergic to gold. I hope not. :-)

Keep it around for a while, and wear it often. If it tarnishes very quickly or turns your neck black or green, it is probably fake.
If you break out, you could just be allergic to gold. :)
