The engagment ring is a simble of love and promise. The wedding band is a simble of love and forever. That is why it is round and “never ending” you should wear the wedding band on the inside of your finger that way it is closest to your heart.

Wedding ring goes on first then engagement ring. At the wedding, put the engagement ring on the ring finger of your right hand. He puts the wedding ring on left ring finger. Later you move your engagement ring. Having the wedding ring on first puts it closer to your heart.

I think the engagement ring is first. It’s the first ring on the finger when you get engaged. The wedding ring is placed over that on during the wedding ceremony.

I was told the wedding ring should be at the base of your finger because it should be closest to your heart.

the wedding band goes closest to your palm, then your engagement ring if you are wearing that on the same finger. If an anniversary band is added later that goes last with the engagement ring between it and the wedding ring.
As for if it should be left or right hand, that depends on your cluture. Americans always wear it on the left, although some european cultures and orthodox jewish wear it on the right hand. Sometimes I have seen women wearing their wedding band on the correct finger according to their culture and the engagement ring on the opposite ring finger to prevent confusion or because they do not like the designs together.

your wedding band should be the closest to your heart. the wedding band is the ring that the preacher blesses. so it should be closer to your heart cause that is what binds you two together in a marrriage.

how every you want, there is no rule on anything. I like to my engagment 1st because that is the 1st one i had or i like to wear the wedding band alone
