It might be Nickle, I have those lalergies and wear yellow gold 18K or better because it has little if any in it. Look for metel mixed with paladium…it’s nickle free.
Sterling Silver is never a good option, it contains nickle! I would try to see if I couild have it redipped in something else or see if you can have a plastic under part put on it. Or sometimes they have a allergin free liquaid that you can spread on it.

Something that works for me if I am allergic to a piece of jewelry, is to paint it with clear nail polish. It creates an invisible barrier between your skin and the metal. It worked when I was allergic to the metal that my glasses were made of, I painted the parts that touched my skin, and the irritation/rash went away. Clear nail polish works on earring posts and hooks really well too. You just need to re-coat it every once in a while when it starts to dry up and chip off. I only had to re-coat my glasses every 4-5 months.
PS: wow. I’ve never heard of an allergy to Rhodium. It’s possible though. It is a member of the platinum family, and one of the most expensive metals. It is often used to coat sterling silver to prevent tarnishing. Is your ring white gold? I read that sometimes they plate nickel before plating rhodium, and the rhodium is porous.

You may be allergic to nickel. If you look online you should be able to find nickel free silver. I don’t think that gold or platinum come in nickel free. Stainless steel is a really good option but you might not think that’s good enough for a wedding ring.
