mines white gold & diamonds, his is titanium since it’s stronger & he works with his hands…

Either will work. My husband’s ring and my rings do not match. I bought him something that would be comfortable to him. I knew he liked gold, and he knew I liked white gold.
The comfort fit rings for men are great. Buy for his personal taste, not yours, he has to wear it the rest of his life.

wow. i hope you’re not cheaping out. seriously. you don’t want to get him something that’s sterling silver just to save a few bucks. consider that your dress probably cost as much as his car, and splurge a little on his ring. yes, they should match.

No, they don’t have to match. Most guys like 10K yellow gold because it is extremely durable, requires no care, and is really classic.
My husband and I didn’t have matching bands, other than they were both yellow gold. However, once he lost two – I refused to replace it again!

I strongly suggest that the two of you get matching bands. By matching, I mean matching metals. You may get away with gold/platnum, buy why would you do that? If your rings don’t match, it will give the impression that the man you are with, is not your husband. Look forward to dirty looks and lots of explanation.

no they do not need to match. You can get him whatever you want to give him. There is no set rule saying “you have to have matching sets” Cause to most guys they dont care what they get as long as it comes from you, they will be happy with the ring they get.

No, they don’t have to match. Just because you’ll be married doesn’t mean your tastes in things change. You might want a plain band while he wants something studded with diamonds!
And because of work, my hubby couldn’t wear a ring so he did, only when we went out. Didn’t make us any less married.

No, the rings don’t have to match. There are no rules when it comes to personal adornments. My husband and I have identical rings (plain gold bands), because this is what we both wanted.

My ring is yellow gold and my husband’s is white gold. We each picked out what we wanted. It’s more important for you to each be happy with a ring that you’ll be wearing for the rest of your life than for your rings to match each other.

my husband has white gold & I have platinum. My engagement ring was platinum because I work with my hands more & it doesn’t bend as easily. His looks the same color as mine though

Nope, do whatever you like. You and your husband aren’t exactly alike, you don’t look alike on the outside, so why should your rings have to? Do whatever is meaningful for the both of you.

I am married and my husbands band and mine do not match exactly but they have several things in common. Our rings are the same design, same karat but different metals.Mine is yellow gold and his is white gold.As you can read, i like the idea of having some featrures in common but that is just me.It is perfectly okay to have rings that do not matrch at all.Its about the commitment and the meaning that the rings have andf not about the metal.
Hope this helps and good luck.

They normally match in color but it’s not a must. Mine is platinum and we are getting his in titanium. It’s cheaper and stronger then white gold… and we both decided it would be crazy to spend the money on a platinum ring for him when he can’t wear his ring at work.

I don’t see ANY reason why they should or shouldn’t match … I say get him a ring that suits him the best … or one he really likes … everyone has their own personal style … ask him what he likes … some guys don’t like flashy things and some guys do … get a few ideas and go from there … !
We have the same cut diamond but totally different types & style of rings … we love them because we both had our rings custom made … one of a kind … !

My wedding band is platinum and my fiances is going to be Tungsten. Its a really hard metal that doesnt scratch. His is also a darker metal then mine but thats what I like for him. Theres no rule get what you each will want.

Nothing is mandatory in a wedding.
My wife has a black hills gold wedding band with a diamond in it (she picked out the ring). I have a gold band with five sapphires in it. The rings look nothing alike, aside from having holes to put a finger through.

They don’t have to match. Depends on what kind of ring he would like. Ask him what he wants. Mine will not match my fiance’s. I want white gold and he wants one that’s white and yellow gold cause his Aggie ring is yellow gold and mine is going to be white. He figured he’d go with both.

I think this is a matter of personal preference, if you want them to match then by all means let them, if not, don’t. My first marriage, our bands matched. This go round I’m using my Mama’s wedding set(for sentimental reasons) and his band is titanium from Overstock.com. The band is just for show anyway, it’s whats in your hearts thats important!
Best wishes for a successful marriage!
