You can size platinum…I used to work for Helzberg Diamonds, so I know. However, if there are stones in the ring, the setting they are in may prevent the ring from being sized more than half a size to a full size. If they are set a certain way, such as channel set, you can’t size it more than one up or one down or they will become loose and may pop out. If they are not able to size it for you, most jewelry stores can put a temporary sizer on it for you. They are a small piece of metal that wrap around either side of the bad and have a small bar that goes to the inside and rests against your finger for a more snug fit. Again, this is only temporary, and should not be used for a long term solution as the metal can damage your band after a long period of time, and it can also become irritating to your finger or your skin. The other type of sizer is plastic, which is a more reasonable long term solution if you can’t afford a different band. They look like a small bit of plastic tubing and there is a slit in one side that the band of your ring goes through, in effect making a more snug fit for you. I’m not sure where you can find them. I would just contact a few different jewelry stores to see if they have them or if they know where hyou can find them. Hope this helps! Congrats on your weight loss.

There are these things that you can buy at jewelry stores I think they might be called ring sizers, they are thin metal and they come in yellow or white gold but they are probably not real gold, not sure. They go on the inside of your ring and they have two flaps on each side that close around your ring and you can adjust it so if you gain or lose weight. I have had them for my rings before and they are cheap and I think they can’t resize platinum because the metal is soft but I don’t know for sure I have heard that before though. Good luck and congrats on losing weight!

If the ring isn’t too wide already, try buying bands to fit on either side which will hug the ring. This causes the ring to fit as though it is wider, and wider rings must be bought in larger sizes to make them fit correctly. So maybe buying rings to hug the ring you already own will help make the ring fit the way it once did.

i dont think that is true they should be able to resize any ring if it does not fit anymore maybe u should go to a place that resizes rings and ask them maybe the store u bought it from juss didnt want to do it
