The Anglican Communion is rooted in a historic tradition which takes scripture, reason, tradition and experience as the four pillars of Christian truth, with scripture as the keystone of the whole.
The concern here is the violation of Biblical admonitions – would there be any question of correct action if another OT directive of God were violated and we were discussing child sacrifice?
The question before the Conference is not one about freedom of worship, for all are free to worship the Lord, no matter what our various sins may be. The big question is one of what the leadership of the church will look like. How will the Christian church claim to hold the moral high ground when the moral values of all other religions hold homosexuality to be wrong? The Western churches are being “the emperor with no clothes” in their pride of tolerance.

Flexibilty and moderation in theological issues has always been one of the proud hallmarks of Anglicanism.
Intolerance, diobedience, and dissention are not.
