Platinum is just going to scratch. That is the downfall of the metal. That is why many jewelers who are honest will tell you to go with white gold over plat. (But plat costs a lot more, so they will want the bigger sale and will sell you plat if you come in wanting it.) Platinum will have to be buffed to get the shine back, but it will re-scratch pretty darn soon.
To clean diamonds any non detergent clear cleaner should work well enough. Many jewelers will sell specialty products, and most of them will clean your jewelery for you in an ultrasonic cleaner and steam it for you for free.
