Honestly, you’re not going to get much for it. Pawn shops weigh the jewelry to determine it’s value. If you have a heavy piece you’ll get more. A few ounces of gold will only get you around fourty bucks. If it’s a really nice piece that you think will sell easy; take it to a jewelry consignment place. They can appraise the value to you and you can put a price on it. Basically they sell it for you and take a small profit from it so you can get more of what it’s worth that way.

They only pawn for pennies on the dollar…$50-75 tops.
