On left and second from left “alular digit” also ring finger in USA. It’s everywhere in Finland some Saame people in Lapland might have their own traditions. Engagement ring is always modest, no stones etc but the ring you get on the wedding day can have stones and decoration. Gold and white gold are most popular materials.

Finland is not listed as one of the countries where people wear their wedding rings on the right hand, so it is the left hand in general.
However, in Eastern Finland lots of customs are similar to those of the Russians. Russian wedding ring customs are special:
traditional Russian wedding rings are three interlocking bands of rose, white and yellow gold, worn on the right hand.

It is actually worn on the left there. This question goes through a lot of countries and lists what hand the ring goes on there. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind…
