Is Your Engagement/wedding Ring Comfortable?
Written by Admin on April 13, 2010Ladies, I’m galling to intake the plot labour for a gratifying platinum start ring. Here’s my problem:
1- a HUGE apportionment looks likewise showy… and it looks likewise obvious. I would kinda impact a anulus that doesn’t direct shout conceive that it’s an occurrence ring.
2-Rings with a Brobdingnagian displace on it seem uncomfortable. I impact individualist rings with caretaker stones on it and they ever impart caught in my touchable and grownup around my member and pokeweed at me.
I’m thining of a anulus that has diamonds every around it on a platinum adornment that is gratifying and smooth that doesn’t impact a apportionment poking at me everyday.

It’s not really the diamond that’s uncomfortable, unless you have a rock that’s larger than 2 carats. You need to have a band that fits properly, and suited to your finger. Some women prefer a wide band, others despise them.
I have had my ring get caught in my hair when running my hands through it, I won’t deny that, but overall I find it bothers me very little, if at all. Your ring will twist less if it fits right.
The setting matters too. My diamond has a custom made setting, not “claws” to hold it in. It also reduces the chance that you will lose the diamond. I am not sure what it is called, but you can see the whole diamond from top to bottom. It looks like it’s in a “V” shaped cup and is anchored at the sides. Very smooth surface unlike claws.
That said, you can get a smaller carat (.5-,75) and get a GOOD QUALITY ring that will look beautiful but not be obtrusive.
My ring is .5 carat, but is the best quality you can get. With the setting I have, it looks closer to .75-1.0 carat in size, and it is a perfect diamond to the naked eye. It catches the light beautifully. Many people have commented. It was custom made and is worth about $5000 (Cdn).
A 3/4-1.0 carat of this quality would be closer to $20,000 (cdn).
So, you can get a very nice smaller ring, and have a custom made setting to your liking that will make it seem unobtrusive.
What you suggested is also 100% fine. There are no rules that an engagement/wedding band must have one large diamond. What you are desribing is what most would use as a wedding band. You can also look at Celtic designed wedding bands, they may be more suited to what you want. I believe a site for this is http://www.clanweddings.com.
You can also check your local jewelers. I have seen this style you describe before.
Good luck, and I’m sure the ring you choose will be beautiful!

I know of people who have gotten engagement rings that have diamonds all around it, mostly to do with they’re job, they wouldn’t wear the ring if it had a high diamond. But ultimatly it’s up to you what you want, but i agree that going to a store and looking is much better that online.
My engagement ring is very high, but with my job, I spend most of my time typing on a computer, so it doesn’t bother me.

I would suggest to go to the jeweler instead of looking on the internet. You can see how the ring looks on your hand when you try it on and if it is comfortable or not.
Good luck!

It’s your ring…pick out whatever you want.
If you end up with a band with diamonds all around it, I’d suggest also getting a jewelry cleaning kit from the jeweler.

As others have suggested, go to a jeweler and have them help you find one that works for you. Trying different styles on will help you pick one that will fit your needs. I would also be careful about getting a ring with diamonds set into the band because if you ever have to resize it, it will alter the settings and make the diamonds loose. I’ve had to get my ring resized twice. The first time was to size it down to a 5 but it still didn’t fit right. So I took to a friend of the family to look at it and he told me my ring had to be sized down almost another full size because I didn’t have nuckles to hold it on! I would loose the ring if I didn’t have it fitted properly. I didn’t know that this was even an issue and I’m glad I took it to a professional to correct it before it was too late. Go to a jeweler to try on rings and when you find the style you want just look it up online, if you don’t want to buy one from a jeweler. good luck

You might like something that is bezel set, so it isn’t sticking up with prongs to get stuck in things. My rings is a 3 stone with channel set diamonds on each side so it’s raise but the channel setting makes it so that it doesn’t poke up really high.
good luck with your search.

yes my set is comfortable. although they do sometimes slide around my finger, when im cold. i have a 3 stone ring as my engagement and a diamond “anniversary” band as my wedding band.
your best bet would just to go to any jewelry store, tell them what your looking for and chances are they will have something you will like. its better to go into a store rather than trying to find something on line, since you will be able to try on a varity in the store and you cant do that when ordering on lne.
