I have never heard that people of one sexual orientation did it any differently from any other. If LGBT people wish to be considered in the same light as a heterosexual married couple – and they definitely do – then I would recommend wearing the band on the left, just like us breeders.
Lots of cultures worldwide accept these unions, even our own culture did before the fanaticism of wacky right wingers in our rather recent past, at least there were few laws against it. Who really cares though? People should do what they like for their own wedding, and every couple is different, some people have a dog for their best man, some people have a man for their maid of honor, some brides wear chartreuse, some people have wedding pie instead of cake, if you want to wear your band on the right I say go right ahead!

    Left.
And if you are here answering “they shouldn’t get married!”, well my answer to you is “You shouldn’t have children because teaching them hatred and intolerance is immoral”. So HA!
    Add:
No surprise that I got a thumbs down. In this country, there is a separation between church and state, therefore, your skewed religious morals have no standing in law, nor should your opinions about it matter. So I challenge you bible thumpers who feel homosexuality is against nature and God:
God made diseases, you should happily accept death when you are sick
God made you infertile, you shouldn’t use IVF
The bible says women shouldn’t speak in church, so no female religious leaders, no woman should sing in church, no woman should say her vows, and no woman shall read from the bible, and no woman should honor the memory of their family, friends, or congregation during a funeral service
The bible says not to eat shrimp, clams, crabs, lobsters, and pork
And most importantly, the bible says “Do not judge, lest ye be be judged”
Stop picking and choosing. Either you believe or you don’t.

i have heard that straight people do not want to have the ring on the same hand, this is because the marrige hand has a vein that connects to the heart, this is suppose to symbolize lasting love.
straight people have raised a ruckus about this, so they want the marrage ring to be on the opposit side.

BS. Besides the left finger is not a must either. In my country it traditionally depends on which religion you are in whether it is right ot left. My husband and I chose left, for safety and convenience reasons, we are both right handed so less change of getting the ring caught into things and for me personally easier to when holding a pen.

No, gay people wear it on the left just like straight people. A gay marriage is no different to a straight one except that it is not in the eyes of god and (obviously) the people marrying are the same gender.

They shouldn’t be married in the first place. And no Gays don’t have any “claim” to the right hand. A lot of people wear rings on their right hands and are not gay. They already stole the rainbow what more do they want?
