As a wedding band, i suggest u use following materials:
1.plantinum,
2. gold;
3. titanium;
4. silver.
i do not think it is a good idea to buy material and make it by yourself suggested by a guy in diamond jewlery business for so many years. u need special tool to make it well round and shining!
