Is it legal to require employees to remove wedding rings?

I effect at a construction and firm my leader informed me that every employees with stones in their rings would impact to avow the rings off. My start bands are unutterable to me and I’m wondering if I crapper fighting this.

    If it is determined to be a health or safety reason, they can.

    If you are dealing with food, it could be health related.

    look at it this way:
    if the rings are that important to you, do you want to ruin them working in a restaurant?

    if the employer has a policy that is health or safety based it is very legal and expected. this is why a wedding ban is fine it is just anything that has stones which could be lost.

    You can’t really fight it unless you come up with a third option: tape over the ring or wear a “finger glove” on that finger. A reasonable boss would allow this.
