You can try using windex or something with some amonia in it..

try this it may or may not work : boil some water , place one piece ( test piece) into small dish , in this dish have a piece of tin foil (shiney side up) and some baking soda and once the water has boiled, pour the water over the piece ( just enough to cover and let sit until water has cooled enough to be able to pick up and the discolouration should just wipe right off. this works for silver not sure about costume jewelry good luck
