I’d want the most quality he can afford. I don’t want him to go into significant debt for a piece of metal and rock, but it is a piece of metal and rock I have to wear EVERYDAY for the rest of my life. So buy a quality stone. I’d rather have a high quality smaller stone. He can always surprise me in a few years on our anniversary with a larger ring!
