no, what you see is what you pay, don’t even try to haggle you will only end embarrassing yourself

the mark up is about 60-75 percent and that is a big part of the commission. make a firm offer and than walk away
generally they will negotiate

unless you are in the middle east where you are expected to haggle, i doubt you will be getting it for much less unless you find it on sale…

You can negotiate a better deal. Generally the mark up is around %100 on watches under a few grand. It is much higher on jewelry. You should at least be able to get %20 off if your a good talker.

You have to pay for quality. I own a Omega seamaster paid £1150 GBP. If you get one for $1000 it would be suspect.
If you get the chance Dubai airport duty free, approx 30% savings on fine watches. Except Rolex they hold there price to keep them at the top.
I bought my wife a diamond studded Tag Heuer in the UK, would have saved £450 at the airport.

I think that jewelry stores all have set prices, but you can occasionally find stuff that is on sale.

I doubt they have that much wiggle room on their profit margins.
