Excellent choice. A round cut diamond is the most brilliant. It refracts the light beautifully and makes the diamond dance.
Double and triple the price for a fancy colored diamond.
Sapphires have recently become trendy for engagement rings.
But, a white diamond is a girl’s best friend.

I LOVE what my husband chose. Classic yellow gold, small solitaire with shoulder stones. Matching wedding band has three of the smaller stones. Any bigger stone would have looked silly on my dainty fingers!

I’m just not a diamond fan at all, I don’t care for them and they do not suit me so I’d prefer anything other than a diamond really. I love my wedding ring, it is a wide band, white gold and set with tanzanites along the middle channel. If I was to have a “classic engagement ring” I’d love white gold, with an emerald as the centre stone (an emerald cut emerald, around 1 carat in size) and on either side of the centre stone a smaller emerald cut emerald (around 0.4 carats each).

I think, from personal experience, It is a for the man to pick out and be creative. We shouldn’t tell them what we want, we would sound very selfish and if the guy couldn’t afford it, then he might see himself as a failure. I feel that “I want I want” is in bad taste.
All I told my fiance isthat princess cut was my favorite….I didn’t care how big or clear it was.

I have already been married (divorced) in traditional church wedding and I now dream of, if there is to be another wedding in my future, bare feet on a sandy beach with the sun going down and only a very few guests…close family and close friends. A little soft guitar music will do well. The whole thing should end with everyone in their “wedding clothes” taking a big jump into the water.
I don’t care that much about the ring. It can be simple. No ring has ever made a marriage work. I do agree with you about matching rings. I care more about the inscription than the stone, however.
I hope you get what you are dreaming of. Everyone deserves their dream wedding. I hope you get your dream marriage, too.

Aww! Moonbelle that is absolutely Gorgeous. I think it is beautiful. I would pick out with my fiance what ever we both decided on together, that’s just me. I honestly wouldn’t care, as long as we both loved it.
The meaning of Eternal Love is what is important to me. I am very sensitive to these things, but I amso Happy for you I actually have tears coming down. It’s one of those days for me! its a gorgeous princess cut white diamond mounted in white gold with 4 smaller diamonds each side set into the band…its soo pretty and i love my guy sooo much too – a great guy and a great ring!! the perfect combination –

Engagement ring: 3 stone – 1.4ct VVS2, D color center stone; 2 .25 VS1, D color side stones.
Wedding band: 7 stone .05 ct band.
Both in platinum.

I just want a nice ring, like it doesnt have to be be surperly huge. But big would be nice.. Oh and the way he does it has to perfect, I want alot of people to be there and l want all eyes on me and for everybody to start screaming Yea!! Aww that would be so great.

It sounds very nice Moonbelle, but be careful if your fiance can afford that. Once you two marry, that will be your debt to help pay back too. A huge diamond may be out of his price range, but I am not sure. Poor ol’ Stooge is seeing the costs go up and up now. LOL He is lucky in your love.
Side note: Don’t you just love BooBabies answer? What a real sweet heart she is. Can’t help but loving a woman as sweet as she is.
