I recently bought 2 18ct white gold rings from a “reputable” online company. Now I knew that I wouldn’t be getting top quality as they were more than reasonably priced, I did think that I would at least get what was advertised! I picked 2 beautiful rings, paid for them and waited for them to arrive.
I was more than dissappointed when they did – apart from the fact that one of them is simply nothing like what I had ordered, they were small, flimsy and cheap looking – they were not solid 18ct white gold – merely plated with white gold. I was more than a little annoyed.
I know a few people who have paid a good deal of money for supposed “legitimate” jewelery online only to be ripped off, but at the same time, I know a few people who have purchased from the online catalogues of well known-highstreet stores and been more than happy.
If I were you I would be very skeptical about purchasing special jewelery such as wedding bands online – better to be able to see what you are getting in person before you buy! If you really want to purchase it, ask the site if they give a written guarantee of legitimacy and quality and a money-back guarantee. That way you could order the jewelery, when it arrives take it to be appraised and if it is as portrayed, then happy days – if it is not what the site said it was, you have your money-back guarantee!

One place you can definitely trust is http://www.raru.com/ DeSignet International. They do AWESOME work and are so friendly and helpful!
Here is the link to their wedding band page- they have all types. http://www.raru.com/wedding.htm
We bought our rings there, they shipped earlier than expected and were fabulous. We get compliments all the time!

Have bought a couple of pieces on-line but only from well known brand names – never rings – only pendants and charms.
They were fine – but I’d be careful with diamonds – make sure they are certified before spending any money.
