I have worn my wedding rings off and on for the past 36 years. In the beginning I did not have any rings but after the first 10 years or so my hubby bought me a ring that I wear most of the time. As we age, things don’t fit like they used to; I don’t wear my rings around the house because I lose them. I have lost many wedding rings while washing dishes or just doing errands around town. I love my hubby but he prefers that I only wear my rings when we go out for special occasions. He says it cost him less money that way.

I wear mine most of the time but I’ve left it off on two occasions when traveling to foreign countries. I hardly wore any jewelry at all in Europe and Mexico, just a simple white gold chain, if anything. I don’t like calling attention to my possessions when I travel – I carry a nondescript security bag instead of my usual handbag and don’t wear flashy clothes. It makes me less of a target for potential pickpockets that way. I also don’t like perpetuating the idea that Americans are ruthless consumers. So I leave my ring locked away when I travel.

I wear my engagement ring all the time except in the shower or if I’m doing something messy, or working with a material I might scratch. I plan to wear both rings once I am married, though I work as a Park Ranger and there are times that I might not wear my engagement ring to work.
A lot of people don’t wear their rings for a variety of reasons. My mother’s hands have been changed by arthritis, so she can’t wear hers. My dad’s doesn’t fit any more, either. Some people can’t wear them for work reasons. It’s a personal decision with a lot of factors.

I always wear my engagement and wedding rings – except when I am getting them professionally cleaned or mixing meatloaf up (yukky)
My mom only wore her wedding band – she lost a stone out of her engagement ring once – had it replaced and with a ring guard that time. She then seemed only to wear her wedding band (not engagement ring with guard), She said it got in the way – like while cleaning, etc. She would usually wear it out for more formal occasions though.
Some people I know don’t wear those to work (nurses)

I never take mine off – unless i know that im going rock climbing, or working in the yard, or something like that (i dont want to damage/scratch/chip the diamonds) so, for those days, i wear a plain band…But other than that, like when im at work or on weekends and stuff, i never EVER take them off.
For some, like my mom, she cant stand her wedding set because its too high setting and its always catching on things

I wear my engagement ring everday, but once I get married, I think I will usually only wear my wedding ring. I just don’t want all the “bling” all the time. It’s just my personality. I would feel a little disloyal not wearing at least the wedding band though and I will be mad if my fiance doesn’t wear his wedding band.

I am engaged, and I NEVER take my ring off. I shower, sleep, and live with it on.
I am having my engagement ring and wedding band sodered together a few weeks before my actual wedding so I will wear them together after the wedding. I will just get a walmart ring for the time when my ring is gone before the wedding. I can’t imagine not having a ring on!

im recently engaged =) and sooooooooooo proud to wear my ring!!!! the only time that ive tookin it off was to sleep bc he got a size to big and didnt want ot loose it in our bed or now bc its getting sized =) i think its a slap in the face when you dont wear your ring and id BE SOOOOO hurt if he didnt wear his..i think if you dont theres sumthing wrong..thats a promise and a specail thing you shouldnt say “hey today im not goin to keep my promise ” you no??thats always and forever and if not dont make it…and congrats!!!!!

I don’t wear mine when i go to work. I’m a labor and delivery nurse and we aren’t allowed to wear them. My fiance wont be able to wear his band at work either because he is a rescue swimmer in the navy and they aren’t allowed to wear them when they go flying. My parents don’t wear theirs because they don’t fit any more. So many times, people don’t wear them because of the circumstances not just because they don’t want to.

I wear my ring everyday, but I dont wear it when bathing, sleeping, swimming or when I am doing something messy.
My fiancee wont be able to wear his wedding ring to work because he works with metals. He’s thinking of getting a tatoo one, which is a big deal since he is not that tattoo type and hates needles!

I just got engaged. The only time I don’t wear my engagement ring is when I go to bed (I’m afraid the sharp edges will scatch me when I sleep) and just if I just plain forget. This also goes with my promise ring. I wear both mine with pride too, it is a nice “bad pick up line” repellor. Just flash the ring and they USUALLY get the picture.

I have no idea why people don’t wear their rings. The only time I don’t wear mine is when I shower, and that is because I don’t want to lose it to the pipes.
Makes you wonder how important this engagement or marriage can be to these people, which is very sad.

Mine is glued to my finger i think that some women just don’t wear them because of work or they really just aren’t the girly girly and also i picked mine out or else if my fiance would have picked it would have been so ugly! So maybe they secretly hate it haha

When I got engaged I never took the thing off, except sleeping, showering, or pretty much anything to do with water. I loved wearing it. Now that I am married I enjoy wearing it even more. Wedding are wonderful things!

Congrats! When I was engaged, I wore my engagement ring all the time! And since being married, wear engagement ring and wedding band together – usually only take off to do really messy cooking, like dough or ground meat.

I wear mine probably half the time. I don’t know why but I have a hard time wearing rings it’s like I can constantly feel them and it’s uncomfortable. So some days I just don’t put it on.

I wear my wedding band and a 4 diamond anniversary ring together
I don’t wear my engagement ring because it doesn’t fit now
