    Yes, absolutely!
As for people being concerned about stones falling out…
    1. That’s why jewelry is insured on a separate policy. A homeowners/renters policy will only cover items from theft and typically only up to $1000. If you have an endorsement/rider for your jewelry it is covered from loss as well. It is a cheap way to make sure that if something does happen, you’re covered!
I’ve worked in insurance long enough to talk to many women who didn’t bother to insure their wedding rings only to lose them and be out of luck because they didn’t take the time to insure the jewelry properly.
    2. This is why a six prong setting is far better than a four prong setting. While the four prong shows the stone better, a six prong will hold the stone in. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve broken a prong off of my ring. It seems like every other year for the past ten years I’m having a prong replaced. I’m rough on jewelry and my ring has a high setting that gets banged around. I’ve never lost the stone!

I wear them all the time. I never take them off… not even for a shower or swimming in an ocean… It’s been 4 years and I still have them and they are still just as nice as the day I got them.

I wear them to bed, in water, all the time. The only times I pretty much take them off is when I’m making dough, or mixing something like hamburger with my hands.
That’s why I love what he chose – classic yellow gold with not huge settings for the diamonds, comfy to wear in all situations and all the time.

I’m so glad I found this post. I was really wondering about that. My sister just asked me why I wasnt wearing my ring, but I had just showered. I sleep in it , but if I’m cleaning or in the shower it comes off. My ring has scroll work on the sides and I dont want anything to get stuck in there. That would be gross!
Besides, the ring is only a symbol of our love, he knows I love him even when I dont have it on, and thats whats important…at least to us.

I take my ring off only when I’m doing something really messy like mixing meatloaf by hand. Otherwise, I wear it all the time. Why risk losing it?

I take mine off in the shower or when doing dishes..
and sometimes when i use hand sanitizer…
mainly because i don’t want to lose it.. and i’m unsure if hand sanitizer is good for the metal

I’m going to wear them except when taking a shower or swimming because my are gold and the chorine in swimming pools and shower water pits the gold. I have to have gold because I’m allergic to the high amounts of nickel in other metals.

No actually, those are the only two places I ever take them off. I don’t want my rings to get snagged under the sheets or on the comforter and sometimes when my fingers get wet the rings are slightly loose. I also don’t want them to get caught on my hair when I’m washing it.

I don’t because my ring is white gold and as they say there really isn’t such a thing as white gold, therefore I always fear that all chemicals will make it fade!

When i first got my engagement ring i took it off at night and when i was preparing messy food. When my future mother in-law came for a visit she noticed this and said “I ALWAYS wear my rings…never take them off for ANYTHING.” So now, as you can imagine with that kind of guilt trip, I always wear my rings.
Turns out it’s not as bad as I thought, and it’s one less thing I have to worry about loosing. If a diamond pops out or setting gets bumped i’m not too worried….the ring is insured (make sure you do this first thing after you get the rings) and a jeweler can fix any problem for minimal costs.
In the end….do what you’re comfortable with.

Yes, of course. :) The only time that would be a good time to consider taking it off would be if you’re cleaning because build up gets on the gold/silver and its hard and nasty to get off. OR if you work in a restuaruant or somewhere unsanitary like that. Rings catch a lot of gross things. Just make sure you keep it clean! :)

    Nope.
I don’t want the diamonds to get loose or fall off in the shower and don’t want them to get caught in the blankets.
I don’t wear my engagement ring with leather gloves either, by the advise of my jeweler, tight leather gloves push on the diamonds and they may become loose.

Your rings should never come off your fingers!!
if you took your engagemnt or wedding band off and went out people would automaticly think that there is smth wrong going on between you and your other half !!
