Yes. I have a rather large set so whenever I take it off I feel a noticeable difference.

I remove my ring if I’m doing really grimy chores, or if I’m worried about damaging it when I’m lugging things around, or when I’m putting lotion on my hands.
Other than that, the ring’s on my finger all the time. I don’t take if off for trips because I like people to see that I’m engaged; and it stops the weirdos approaching me.
I know a couple who got married 4 years ago, and they have silly arguments every so often, in which she flips out, demands a divorce, and throws her rings at him. An hour later they’ve made up, and she’s wearing her rings again. But the last time it happened; she lost her ring. They’re having a vow renewal ceremony this weekend, and she’s got no wedding ring to wear. I’ve never ever taken my ring off for the sake of an argument.
EDIT – I’ve worn a diamond ring (18th birthday present) for the past 6 years, and it left an indentation in my finger. For the wedding, I want to wear only my engagement and wedding rings, without any ring marks on other fingers. I wanted to se how long the mark lasted. So far it’s 2 months, and it’s still really obvious!

I do feel naked without mine. I have taken mine off to do the dishes or clean and have forgotted to put it back on for an hour or two. I feel for it and remember to go put it back on.
We go dancing often and I don’t want to lose it or have it stolen. I bought a cheap ring to wear when we got out like this. it serves the purpose of letting people know that I am engaged, but I don’t have to worry if something happens to it.
You may want to do this. Buy a cheap ring to wear on your vacation. I spent $36 for mine at Premier Jewelry and it looks nice. It doesn’t turn my finger green or look cheap, but if I lost it, no big deal!

you know my parents have never removed their wedding rings and they kept them together because there is a believe more of superstition which is ridiculous but they think it might be true, if someone gave u a ring and u lost it it means you guys were not meant to be together (sound dumb huh?) but when they keep the rings together they both love each other a lot whenever they are asked they still admit they are married i mean it shouldnt be a problem yes you feel ur finger naked but the ring doesnt make or break a relationship in my belief you just work on it and ull be fine
good luck i hope i was of any help

Yes! I have only forgotten to wear it one day. I took it off because I was cooking dinner and had to get my hands dirty to do it. I forgot to put it back on the next morning and didn’t realize it until I was at work. I was really sad about all it day and even almost drove home and skipped lunch just to put it back on. I got the ‘naked’ feeling you are talking about too.

Yes that why i keep my ring on me at all times no matter what. And the only time that i truly take off my ring is when i go in the shower. Yeah some day’s I have forgotten my ring in the bathroom and went crazy because it wasn’t on my finger but as soon as i put it back on i was fine.

Absolutely! If I do anything that involves removing my rings (cleaning, doing dishes, washing the car, giving the dog a bath, etc) I feel so weird!! I keep looking down at my finger and trying to “reposition” it (since I can feel that it’s obviously not sitting in the spot it should be! hehe). I reach for it as I look down, and “Duh!! It’s not there!!” haha. I do it all the time!

The wife and I are newlyweds and just getting used to our rings. She finds it hard to wear them both at the same type and I am SO not the jewelry type. However, when I take it off now after forcing myself to get used to it, YES I do feel a void. Not the type of void that makes me question why it isn’t there, but it LITERALLY has indented my finger so it feels crazy weird when its not there. LOL

Yup, even when my engagement ring is off just to be cleaned for a few moments it feels strange. There was this one time I took it off to clean it and forgot to put it back on and I kept panicking all day almost like I forgot that I removed it myself… It was weird.

I will be soon traveling out of the country and will be leaving my engagement ring at home too. It’s actually a relief, b/c I find it a lot of responsibility to wear an expensive ring.

when i got divorced after 13 years of marraige, the jeweler had to cut the ring off. my finger was pale and indented. i could’t stand how “nekkid” it felt so i substitiuted a divorce pearl ring in its stead for a while.

I know exactly what you mean! It feels so weird to take off a ring that your finger is used to wearing.
Put on some other ring on or buy an inexpensive band. Otherwise you’ll be fidgeting your your fingers for the whole trip.

I do feel “naked” not wearing my wedding ring. But why don’t you want to wear it out of the country? What do you think will happen to it?
You could just insure it with your homeowners/renters ins.

I take my engagement ring off when I clean, and sometimes forget to put it back on. When I discover the situation, I feel guilty for some odd reason. The wedding band never comes off.

pssh.
i felt naked just not being able to wear the ring my grandmother gave me when i was 16-lol. I wore it every day for about 3 1/2 years, then it got stolen. my hand felt naked for awhile. haha

When I take mine off to have it cleaned I feel really naked, I hate it. But your ring should be insured no matter what country you’re in. That’s odd that it’s not.

My hand always feels naked and I freak out, sometimes several times a day when I forget to put it on or something.

My wedding rings had to be re-sized, so I couldn’t wear for two days.
I felt like if I had lost them.
I tried wearing another ring but it wasn’t the same, I’m totally used to my rings.

Lol! I wish I had one to feel naked without!
I do understand what you mean, I have beautiful diamond earrings that I wear daily. When I do take them out I tend ot freak out!
11:49 pm on September 5th, 2009
Yes I do. How about you buy a fake ring to keep your finger company.
3:27 am on September 6th, 2009
I always keep mine on. Why can’t you insure the ring under your home owners insurance?
9:52 am on September 6th, 2009
YES! If I forget to put them back on after cleaning or something. I freak out everyting I realize they are not there.
11:29 am on September 6th, 2009
No, because I don’t remove it. Not even when i leave the country!
3:40 pm on September 6th, 2009
oh heck yeah. after my divorce i just felt all wrong not wearing my band.
5:45 pm on September 6th, 2009
omg YES
i am 20 and dont like the questions a lot of the time, so i take my ring off for classes, mainly becase i dont need pregnancy rumors going around about me when i drink like a fish…. because last thing i need is an intervention to “save my baby” lol
because apparently the only reason a 20 year old gets married is because they are pregnant.

I generally dont wear my ring, as it cramps my style.
