in a wedding set, there are usually two rings. One of them is a larger ring, this is the engagement ring. When you present the ring to your soon to be fiance, the box goes to her as well. The second ring is the wedding band, it is smaller, presented to your bride during the wedding ceremony. Usually when you purchase a wedding set, it comes with a small case to hold the wedding band to keep it safe until the wedding. I am thinking congratulations??

Usually, yes. A wedding set consists of an engagement ring with a matching band. Some bands have a diamond setting or embellishment that matches (or complements) the engagement ring.
There are several options. If you buy a simple solitaire, for example, you can go with:
a simple band
a “guard”, which is 2-sided, and the engagement ring “sits” in the middle
a matching band with diamonds, or perhaps wraps around the engagement ring in some way.
There are also sets which include matching engagement ring, bridal wedding band and groom wedding band.
Seriously, there are a LOT of options!! I’m sure that if you use a reputable jeweler in your area, they’ll be able to answer a lot of questions.
I’ve included a link to a franchise, which provides some good pictures and information. (if it didn’t copy well below, it’s http://www.helzberg.com)
Good luck!

it can be. or it can just be an engagement ring. some are sold in sets. and dependent upon the engagement ring you can buy a matching/interlocking wedding band to go with it. although some are just engagement rings and people stop wearing them once they are married and only wear the wedding band. know that it’s all up to you. there is no rule and you don’t have to go with any traditions. you can do whatever you want. if you don’t like it on that finger move it. if you don’t want to wear it don’t. if you want to hang it on a chain and not your finger do it.

if you are going to ask a girl to get married… you have probably already considered she will say yes or no. If she says yes, then the set is what I would personally purchase. You give the engagement and then put the single band away until the wedding day.
If you personally wish to just buy the engagement ring now only, then expect an added expense later.
Most jewelers will take the rings back if the engagement doesn’t last.
Good luck.

They can be purchased together as a set….the diamond is the engagement ring and the band is given at the ceremony that slides up beside it. Sometimes the engagement is bought by itself then the couple goes and picks up a band together with diamonds in it….etc. Any jewelry store can help you.

When you get the wedding set the engagement ring is part of the set usually the one with the big diamond. Good luck

Not all rings come with matching bands. You can always look for one that matches or have one made.

You can buy them as a set but you don’t have to. Hope this helps!
