My fiance picked out the best ring ever. He designed it himself with blue nile diamond company online. They have very good resources on information for diamonds. But anyways, my ring is a 1.3 carat heart shaped diamond with two pear cut diamonds on each side. It has a gold band because I wear gold but the setting is platinum. The heart is offset just a little on symmetry but it looks great. It’s more beautiful than any ring I’ve ever seen in a store. Most in the store are very elongated where as mine isn’t. It has some inclusions because that’s what makes it sparkle. It’s relatively flawless and absolutely gorgeous. It is also pretty close to colorless. It’s an amazing ring. I don’t know what he paid for it but I’ve seen the appraisaland he paid a hefty sum. I absolutely love it no matter what he paid for it because he designed it himself and did a great job at it. We are getting married on May 17th where he proposed to me in Daytona Beach,FL. I can’t wait to share the rest of my life with him. And by the way, it never hurts to be a hopeless romantic and it always helps to dream.

My engagement ring is my wedding band and promise ring even

I like to call it ‘non traditional’
My ring:
10K white gold bypass ring with two trillion-cut aquamarines (lab created – so they’re ‘more than perfect’), and small diamonds – 3 on each side of the (left and right of the stones). My husband and I picked it out from Zales – you’ll see if you look it up online. Yeah it cheap – not even $200 but its what I wanted – simple, different, but still unique and its not a huge rock on my finger saying look at me (not my style)
My husband’s ring: Black tungsten with silver engraving design – those rings are indestructible and cost about the same price as my ring and he loves it. He gets comments on his all the time.
Here are the links:
Mine: http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?p…
His – similar, but the lines are thinner and look more like tires treads: http://www.titaniumkay.com/images/Ring/T…

Well for Christmas I got a “placeholder” ring from my super-poor fiance. It’s just sterling silver with the word “Love” engraved on it. But we picked out my dream ring together, it’s white gold with a sapphire.http://www.divinitijewelers.com/product.…
I love it!!

I love what my husband chose for me – he knew I wasn’t one for a lot of bling, I have dainty hands…
It’s a small solitaire – round/brilliant, with shoulder stones, on a 14k yellow gold band – the band itself is unusual, kind of flat and polished (hard to describe). The matching wedding band has three of the smaller stones.
Absolutely beautiful – don’t know the size (don’t care). What matters is that it was a surprise, he chose it, and its symbolism.

Mine is a little over a half carat, princess cut, there are definitely flaws but you really cant tell unless you get a microscope and look for them. it still sparkles a lot! It is kite set on a thick antique looking band (white gold) with lots of diamonds. Its kinda hard to explain, but it cost just under $2000 with the lifetime warrantys, mounting, etc. Just the ring was $1700. And it looks way more expensive than it was. I get compliments on it all the time!

My dream ring was a 1.25 carat pear shaped sapphire solitaire on a yellow gold band. The wedding band was alternating sapphire and diamond baguettes.
What I got instead, and is actually much more sentimental to me, is a ring we designed ourselves with the stones from my Mother’s rings as she passed away 6 months before we got engaged. It is a .5 carat round on a band of yellow gold with 2 rows of alternating small diamonds and sapphires. The band is a matching ‘third’ row with a larger (but smaller than the engagement stone) diamond in the center which actually makes it look like one pear shaped stone.

my engagement ring is a 2.25 carat oval on a band of 4 smaller horizontally arranged ovals, VVS2, H.
oh and to the ladies with “dainty fingers”, my stone looks very elegantly on my hand, i guess that means that i have fat fingers or something? Because that’s strange, since my ring finger size is 5-5.25 (depending on the thickness of the band)

My engagement ring is a 14k 1/4 carot solitaire round cut. It’s simple yet elegant. I gave him some ideas about which kind of ring I would like a few weeks before he proposed. He did great with the final selection!

My ring is a little more than 1 carat round cut, but in a setting that makes it look square. It also has six diamonds on the band (three on each side of the center diamond). It is set in platinum and the diamonds are of good quality. It was an antique ring, so my fiance got a really good deal on it.

I saw a ring online that looked like this, but this amethysts instead of champagne diamonds. I loved the way it looked, because I love amethysts and it wasn’t something you saw everyday.
Now, I can’t find the website.

Mine is very unique. It is white gold. Has nine diamonds and baguettes on the side. It is very pretty.

My engagement ring is 1.03 carat brilliant cut diamond with pave cut diamonds on the sides, set in platinum.
My wedding band will match with pave cut diamonds.
I also really like this ring alot since I love emerald cut diamonds, but they don’t sparkle as much as brilliant. This one is called the “crisscut” diamond.http://www.christopherdesigns.com/bridal…
I tried it on and loved it, but the diamond mark-up was 100% because of the patented design.

Oval-cut tanzanite with diamonds on either side set in platinum. Didn’t get it when I got married, but will buy it this year – yay!!! Otherwise tanzanite will run out and won’t ever be able to afford it.

Go into my pics and you can see the ring he proposed with. It was my mother’s who passed away so there is alot of sentimental value to it. It’s a cluster ring and not something I would have picked on my own but it’s still perfect.
The ring I was eyeballing in the store that I absolutely love. Lol I told him he has to buy it as my wedding present or my birthday since he made me go ring shopping trying to trick me about having the family heirloom ring. I want it with peridot rather than sapphire since both of us were born in August
My wedding band is a simple 1/4 ctw diamond anniversary band in white gold. We picked it up on sale for $150, usually $300+

My dream ring would be a diamond eternity band. Those are the ones that have the diamonds that go all the way around the band. I would want it set in 18k gold or platinum.
Another would be a 1 carat, perfect princess cut sapphire solitaire set in 18k white gold.

That’s a fantasy ring unless you marry a very generous billionaire you’ll never see a ring like that.
I have small fingers so I didn’t want anything bigger than .75 ct. Anything bigger looked out of place on my hand. Plus, I didn’t want to get mugged for my engagement ring or wedding band. So, my ring has a clarity of VVS1, color E, cut brilliant, shape, round .65 ct. It’s set in a simple six pronged solitaire 14kt gold ring. My wedding band is a bit more. It’s actually a man’s wedding band sized down. My DH found a band that he loved (my fiance then) but it wasn’t solid on the inside which I didn’t like so, we got the rings at Zales and then took them to my jeweler in Cincinnati and had them fill the inside with gold so they are solid so we could have them engraved. They have 1 ct tw diamonds same quality as my engagement ring with an inset gold swirl around the diamonds and then a polished edge of band on each side of the inset gold swirl that join together and form the comfort band of the ring. I love my rings and wouldn’t trade them for anything. I never take them off for any reason other than when they insisted when I had ankle surgery then they were the first thing my DH gave me when I got back to recovery because he knew I would want my rings before my watch.
