What “looks nice” is subjective…only you can tell what you like.
Rings should be tried on. This is something you will wear all your life. Can you imagine purchasing a piece of clothing (to be worn for the rest of your life) and doing so without trying it on?
If you want a low price, get handmade rings. There are many goldsmiths out there who will be eager to help. And hopefully you can find someone close to you and visit their studio.
Most of the price of a ring is in the diamond(s). So if $$$ are important avoid the large flawless diamond solitaire. Get 14 K gold instead of platinum. Try something alternative. See links below.
