alot of times the wedding band matches the engagement ring but sometimes people choose for them not to. Some people prefer to wear the engagement ring and then once the wedding happens they only wear the wedding band. Others move the engagement ring to the other hand. And some people don’t get a wedding band and just only have the engagement ring. It really just depends on the person and their personality and style.

Some engagement rings come in “sets,” meaning the matching wedding band comes with it. The most common choice is an engagement ring that later the couple finds a suitable match for. I have seen non-matching, matchy-matchy, and unique choices so it really is up to the couple in question.

When you get married you put the wedding band under the engagement ring. Usually you can get one to match but it doesn’t matter. Most people just use a plain band and you can get some engraves or with stones etc
